This picture was a month before it all fell apart. On the outside it all looked so perfect....yet on the inside everything was about to unravel. And so He is taking me back there it seems as of late. And I don't want to do it most days, but I must. To look it in the face, to see it for what it was. To forgive, myself and those who need it as much as I do. To be able to love in the brokenness and feel certain that handing it all over to Him is the only way. Even when it seems like I'm walking away....I'm really walking towards. When I see this picture now, I see us..all of us, walking out of the shadows and into the beautiful Light of what He has in store for us all. However it looks, whatever we might face in those unknown paths ahead of us. Only His light can swallow up the darkness. Thankful.
Stopping by from BTS... I love what you said here: "Even when it seems like I'm walking away....I'm really walking towards." So true! I don't know what your struggles are, but you're dead on when you say that only His light can swallow up the darkness. Excellent, thought-provoking post.
ReplyDeleteI don't know what exactly unraveled and fell apart in your life since this is my first time to come across your blog (stopping by from Behind the Scenes) but I can at least relate that it seems things have unraveled at points in my life too. You spoke such truth in this post, and I pray you will continue to run towards Jesus and let Him consume the darkness that inevitably rears its ugly head!

ReplyDeleteYes we have been singing it a lot at church ;) and it is such the reminder that He is pulling us out way over our heads but He is holding us. And wherever He takes us has purpose. Love you :)
