5 Minute Friday - In Between

Linking Up with Lisa Jo Baker for 5 Minute Friday.  No Edits, No Re-writes, 5 minutes....
Topic: In Between

Go....

When I saw those two words, in between, I started to cry.  Because those two words mean a lot to me.  Especially on this journey.  Its the place between glory to glory.  And I know that glory isn't always pretty.  Sometimes glory is the complete breaking of yourself and giving it over to God.  It was for me, but the in between, the hard work......so here I am, knowing that I am moving out of this place, on to the other side of it.  Into His glory once again.  Stronger, different, changed forever by a love that wrecked my life and then handed me back something amazing.

Stop.

The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance. 2 Peter 3:9 NIV

  1. Beautiful words. Love your description of in between being like moving from glory to glory. That really blessed me today. Visiting from FMF

  2. Oh I know this place too well. And I love the scripture from Peter, yes! The Lord is not slow to keep His promises. He is never late. Praying for you in this difficult time of in-between. He walks with you, and will bring you through.

    1. Thank you Kris :) It's hard at times to remember that He is not late and that we don't see things the way He does :)

  3. Perfect scripture! Love this!

"changed forever by a love that wrecked my life and then handed me back something amazing." <-- Absolutely this! My life was easier before I believed.... more carefree.... but He has given me something so much more amazing!

  4. Your icon (the heart w/the verse about love) caught my attention. Nice looking blog colors, script and background. And, a beautiful and meaningful post. I'm so glad God is faithful!!! It is hard work being in between -I chose Hebrews 12:12-13 NLT as the verse for my thoughts today - it kind of always chooses me!

    Thanks, Jenn

  5. Oh, I am sorry to hear of a love that has wrecked your life!! Never nice; actually it is heartbreaking, but your Lord Jesus is excellent to bind up the broken-hearted and to bring beauty out of ashes.
