Behind the Scenes - Seasons

I've been remembering lately.  God has been reminding me of His hand, His goodness.  Saturday, as I was cleaning and preparing, I was reminded.  A year ago things were so unsure.  The year had been a long, hard road and I had very few hand holders.  Two stood by my side.  And I smiled as I made cupcakes for the party that would be happening very soon.  We would be celebrating my youngest sister, not of my blood but my sister, nonetheless.  It was her birthday :)  This picture serves as a heavy reminder to me.  He does not remove without giving back His best.  And when He restores....Oh.My.Word.  The beautiful family He has placed me in.  The ones that share my day in day out beautiful mess.  The ones who sit with me, love me, cry with me, laugh with me, encourage me, hold me accountable, and will not let go.  Even on the hard days.  A year ago it was all crumbling.  This year the new foundation is nothing short of amazing.  I realize that these are the ones who have cried and mourned with me.  But there is coming a day that they will laugh and rejoice with me.  Thankful.

  1. Yay! This is beautiful friend :) My pastor's wife is currently leading a small group of us through a study, and I've been amazed at the connections being formed. I know this online community means so much to so many, but it's in these IRL ones where we laugh and cry and hold one another through pain and joy - that is our family :) So thankful that He has filled your life with such a wonderful family!

    1. I am so thankful for the journey that writing online has brought me on this year. I did not want to come back to it! But He had other plans :) Thankful for the cup He has filled with so many friendships on this road!

I have a group that reminds of the ones you speak of here and my heart is glad that you have your sisters to bless and support you through the mourning and to look forward to the laughing and the rejoincing with.

  3. "He does not remove without giving back His best. And when He restores" He always give us His best doesn't He? I also have been given such a beautiful family (some blood related others aren't ) to stand by me and hold my hand. To just be Jesus with skin on. I am so thankful.
